It is my belief through long experience that angels are pure beings of light who can help in any aspect of our lives, whether it’s with change, searching for a new job or relationship, needing healing and many more situations. When we call on them, they will come to our rescue on silent wings of light. Everyone has a guardian angel that has been assigned to them from the moment they were born and our guardian loves us unconditionally, helping us throughout our lives and guiding us forward as we transcend to the afterlife. We can talk to our guardian angel with love and faith in our hearts.

The word ‘angel’ is derived from the Greek angelos which means ‘messenger’ and these beings appear, as we have seen, in many sacred texts. They are sometimes depicted as remote and disinterested in mundane things. This couldn’t be further from the truth and angels are anything but ‘fluffy’! They are highly intelligent beings, the intermediaries between Earth and the divine Source. And, as highly evolved beings, they don’t experience lower emotions such as hatred, anger or jealousy as we do.

They are not human in any way, yet they can appear to us in human form so as not to frighten us. There have been many stories of angels appearing to people in times of need and in many different forms, such as helping those in danger or providing powerful guidance. We may experience this like a soft, gentle breeze or as something that’s so innately profound it literally takes our breath away.

The scariest thing that happened to me as an adult was when I was working on the TV show Rescue Mediums with my co-host Jackie. Without Archangel Michael’s intervention, I may not be here now… As we were driven to the property where the unexplained paranormal activity had been occurring, I had a deep sense of foreboding. However, once we had met the homeowners, Leeanne and Willy, the feeling subsided as I warmed to this lovely down-to-earth couple. Those negative feelings came back, though, as we read our premonitions out to them and it was evident there was a very dark presence in the property. Leeanne’s reactions, nodding away as we spoke, confirmed our suspicions.
At first, after the homeowners had left the property so we could walk into each room to start our investigation, there didn’t seem to be much activity at all. What didn’t make sense was that our psychic drawings and premonitions seemed to lead to a very dark place, with both of us feeling that there was something bubbling under the surface. How very true this was.

Both of us felt we were being watched, or toyed with, which was unnerving as whatever, or whoever, it was obviously had no intention of showing themselves or communicating with us. At one point I felt as though someone had tripped me, nearly causing me to fall down a flight of stairs; not long afterwards, Jackie did trip on the stairs! A warning of what was to come.

When we came back to carry out the spirit rescue, we opened up our chakras (centres of spiritual energy) as usual and made sure we put psychic protection around ourselves. I always visualise wrapping myself in white light and putting on a purple cloak, a very strong spiritual colour denoting intuition and balance. As we started to fill the house with white light, we both saw a lovely spirit lady who said she was Leeanne’s spirit guide who had come to help us. This was unusual. Why was it necessary, as our own spirit guides help us with our spirit rescue work? But as our respective spirit guides came in much closer than normal, we knew instantly that something unexpected was about to happen.

I felt we were being used as bait.

When it started, everything happened so quickly. I was taken completely and utterly by surprise as the dark entity overshadowed me. By this, I mean I could feel it so close around me that I started to feel dizzy, sick and absolutely petrified. Jackie’s guide had told her how to contain this spirit and thankfully Leeanne’s guide also came forward to help take the spirit to the light.

But just as I started to regain my composure, I realised there was another one, much stronger! The feeling hit me like a ton of bricks and I thought I was about to pass out. Not only that, it was as though this thing was trying to take over my thoughts… I could hear Jackie shouting at me but I couldn’t respond. Just as I thought I couldn’t hold on anymore, our guides managed to contain it.

It wasn’t over yet.

By now I was so weak I was slipping in and out of consciousness, but I do remember the next entity coming forward so fast it took over my voice box completely so I couldn’t speak. My mouth was moving and trembling of its own volition but, try as I might, I couldn’t utter a word. I had never been so frightened in my life, and Jackie was frantically shouting at me to respond in some way. I ended up falling to the floor as the spirit showed me horrendous images that swirled in and out of my mind.

Somehow, I managed to call out inwardly to Archangel Michael for help and soon saw a pair of angel wings, calming me down. Keeping the image of the angel wings in my mind’s eye, the entity shied away and as the angelic light grew brighter I felt it leave my body with a start. Again, with the help of Leeanne’s guide, we sent that one over to the light too. I was a nervous wreck by this time and extremely weak, but I managed to help Jackie cleanse the rest of the house, sending a big thank you to Archangel Michael for getting me out of a really dangerous situation.
